This
book was extraordinary, and much more than I expected. At first, I thought this
book was going to be cheesy and a bit childish but what the pages actually
contained were very much over my expectations.
What attracted me to this book was the story, it was so
unique and certainly something I've never heard of - even thought of! Although
the story had no master plot, it was perfectly alright, for the way the story
flowed it wasn't necessary to have a major break in the story that made you
gasp and your head spin.
This story is about a purse (yes, the main character is a
purse) talking about it's viewpoint in life and their owner's
life, referred to as 'My Girl'. The purse lives a sad and
confusing life, always feeling unwanted, like if it's unique shape was its very
own curse until My Girl fell in love with her and bought her instantly. Right
after, the purse went on an adventure with her owner, withstanding the anxious
chatter of all the dresses, accessories, and coats in the closet,
instantly becoming very well friends with them all. Not long after is the purse
kidnapped and wrongfully taken by some other owner with the same purse and
reunited with her owner all over again by a man that ends up happily being very
special to My Girl.
The story is revolved around friendship, withstanding
judgment from other stuck up accessories and clothes, loyalty, funny
views on life by the purse and her friends, and a pack of fun that is to be a
unique purse in a world of many with an owner that lives a frantic and interesting
life.
(Did any of you notice how the title Purse'averance is used
as 'perseverance'? Oh, the cleverness gives me such joy!)
